China is launching a new domestic cloud computing network

China has unveiled a new CECloud domestic cloud service network, said China Electronics Corporation (CEC).
CECloud seeks to offer high-security cloud applications to federal departments, municipal utilities and state-owned enterprises.

Centered on the country's self-developed FT CPU and Kylin operating system, CECloud is secure and advanced, Chen Ximing of CEC said during the launch event on Wednesday.

Crafted for government and industry clients, CECloud would help Chinese local governments and businesses drive digital transformation, the company said.

CECloud is broadly integrated with other tech applications intended to satisfy the computing needs of users, according to CEC.
