It might sound interesting, but it's here. The new software update from Nokia could affect network operations. 4G radio stations can be upgraded to 5G without needing a site visit or upgrading facilities with Nokia apps. "This will provide a new and smoother way for operators to build 5G/NR coverage in lower bands via spectrum refarming," Nokia said in a blog post. The Finnish corporation also states that the program update is automatically usable for nearly one million radio stations. A further 3.1 million stations are projected to be upgraded by the end of 2020 and 5 million by 2021.
