CEO Madhav Sheth says the Realme 8-Series 5G variants will launch in India soon.

Realme India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth announced that the Realme 8 series will get 5G variants in India soon. The news comes on the heels of the country's first 4G-enabled smartphones, the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, which were both released on March 24. The Realme 8-series 5G devices are supposed to have a more comprehensive set of features than Realme's most recent smartphones. For several weeks, 5G models were rumored to be in the works. The Realme 8 5G has also appeared on Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) website, alongside Sheth's confirmation.

Sheth announced the launch of the Realme 8-series 5G variants in a tweet. The new models are in the final stages of testing and will be available soon, he said. He did not, however, include any clear timelines or pricing information for the Realme 8 series' 5G models.

Nonetheless, the presence of the Realme 8 5G among the latest variants has been discovered on the NBTC website. The phone's model number is RMX3241, which differs from the RMX3085 model number for the 4G-enabled Realme 8.

The NBTC page for the Realme 8 5G does not include any specifications. However, based on the company's past results, the latest model is expected to share certain characteristics with its 4G counterpart.

A phone with the model number RMX3242, which is identical to the Realme 8 5G, has reportedly obtained certification in India. This means that the new model will arrive in the country soon.
