Today Beats announced its Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds in four new colours. The new hues, which include yellow, rose, red and blue, is much louder and vive than the original lineup. On June 9, they will be available for the standard $249.95 price point from Apple's website, stores and other retailers.
Beats, in collaboration with the gaming organization FaZe Clan, has "communicated," instead of a press release.
The Powerbeats Pro was launched in April 2019 and new colors of Beats' products are quite common for Beats. These new Powerbeats Pro, however, also went through the FCC, indicating that the interior of the earbuds could somehow have been slightly altered. But none of the specifications have changed for these new colors. Their offer is still:
-
During 9 hours (24 hours including the case) of continuous battery life
-
IPX4 resistance to sweat / water
-
Adjustable ear hooks to fit safely
-
Physical buttons for volume and track control on each earbud
-
Apple Chip H1 for easy combination, hands-free voice commands "Hey Siri"
The audio performance, which is a good thing, is also the same.
I still frequently use my Powerbeats Pro, but I have a few gripes. First, I didn't charge one of the earbuds when placed inside the case more than once. Contact cleaning can help to alleviate this problem, but it is still happening. And I am also dealing with this frustratory problem when you put them into your ears, only one earbud turns on when you require the Powerbeats Pro to reseat the case and take them out.
The black case is charging no matter what earbud color you get. It charges through the Lightning connector; unfortunately Beats still needs to provide the Powerbeats Pro with a wireless charging solution.
