Apple will announce iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 on September 16.

Apple's next big tech updates to the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV are almost set. At today's "Time Flies" event , the company revealed that iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, along with the new watchOS and TVOS updates, would be released on Wednesday , September 16th. As of today 's case, app developers have not yet obtained the completed Gold Master (GM) builds of these updates, so Apple's ios release schedule seems strangely hurried. But anyway, new things are coming up.

For the first time, iOS 14 introduces icons to the iPhone home screen, combines all of the applications into the latest App List, and adds photo-in-picture mode. There's a new localization version, too. The iPadOS 14 will not let you place widgets wherever you like on your home screen, but it builds on what you can do with the Apple Pencil. The latest Scribble functionality of iPadOS 14 lets you write by hand in any text area through iPadOS, and your words instantly translate to document. In addition, some of Apple's native apps introduce sidebars and extend menus to take advantage of the iPad's larger screen.

Both updates include improvements to Messages (such as locked contacts, comments, and inline responses), Charts cycling routes, lightweight incoming call alerts, safety upgrades, a new Music experience, and more.
