Apple officially revealed its forthcoming "Time Flies" event on 15 September, and the company hid a cool virtual reality Easter egg in an event announcement that uses Apple's ARKit to transform the spinning Apple logo into a floating "9.15" event date.
Apple has a long history of producing unique logos and teasers for invites to events. However, the AR feature brings an immersive twist to the company's traditional invitations while at the same time leveraging Apple's augmented reality technology. It's not clear if Apple is making any real AR-focused changes to the case, or if this is just a fun use of the technology, but we'll probably find out next week.
