Húawei (Suzhou) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center was first opened for public on Friday in Suzhou and was co-funded by Huawei and Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), which took place in August last year.
The AI innovation center and SIP announced on the same day that they would host the 2020 AI Innovation Application Contest to promote the development of new AI talents and practitioners, to create a more creative industrial park environment, and the construction of the industrial park in a renowned innovation hub in global AI applications.
The AI Innovation Center is deepening cooperation in the areas of the AI, industrial internet, 5 G and many other areas, said Liu Duansuo, director of Huawei, Suzhou Artificial Intelligence Centre, and manager general of Suzhou, Huawei 's cloud business.
Liu also said that the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center in Huawei (Suzhou) will start experiments on innovation AI applications with different partners.
Huawei (Suzhou) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center has been involved in professional training and building teams since its launch last August. To date, the Center has established an operational team with 13 people and over 260 companies investigating.
The team has also organized 12 trade fairs to facilitate technology and industrial information communications. The total viewer figure has reached 1,000.
Li Feiyuan, deputy chief of the Science & Informatics Bureau of Suzhou Industrial Park expressed his hope that the relationship of SIP with Huawei will increase its resources, especially with regard to technology, projects and talents.
306 high-tech firms and 384 provincial software firms now operate on SIP. Six unicorn companies (starting companies valued at more than 1 billion dollars) have been incubated up to now.
