- Lomiri — Refined Unity8 Desktop Lomiri
- Months ago the new name 'Lomiri' was revealed by UBports to avoid a conflict between a name and the popular Unity games engine. Lomiri now has an Ubuntu Touch home screen and dash overlay along with the new name.
- The latest version of Unity8 also includes a thorough self-test for developers, so they prevent new bugs and fix old bugs.
- Switch to overlay editing
- OTA-12 makes it simple to adapt to an overlay for all configurations among the keyboard enhancements. Now you can swipe from the bottom of the keyboard to overlay editing. Also, in the editing overlay, you can double-tap the blank area to make the transition between selection and cursor mode.
- Correcting and optimizing error
- Obviously, many recorded bugs have been fixed by OTA-12 to boost user experience. For example, typing a colon does not capitalize on a next letter any more, and private browsing on the Morph browser now deletes private browsing sessions, rather than every browsing session.
- The default Ubuntu Touch web browser, Morph, does not crash even when dropdown boxes are opened. Finally, a lot of indicators creating and loading translation files are fixed to make text more in the language you want instead of English.
- Broad mobile enhancements
- Ubuntu Touch can now display charging status in different colors if your device has a multi-color LED. The yellow color indicates a battery that is small, solid white and solid green means that the battery is fully charged.
- In addition, you do not have to flash another kernel in order to run android applications on Ubuntu Touch using Anbox if you are using FairPhone 2, Nexus 5, or OnePlus One. OTA-12 contains all the kernel drivers in the default kernelnels of these devices.
- Now Ubuntu Touch OTA-12 automatically changes FairPhone 2's SIM to 4G. You don't have to switch one slot to 2 G manually to use 4 G in another SIM slot.

- OTA-12 also uses its own OAUTH keys for synchronizing Google Contacts with the Calendar. However, when you sign in as Google blocks questionable web browsers, you can face problems.
- Ubuntu Touch applications, they contrast better and more comfortably to distinguish context and text. Finally, OTA-12 upgrades the Mir display server version from 0.24 to 1.2 in order to properly incorporate the OS components.
